One year, thousands of lives impacted!
2019 was an incredible year for Skaggs Foundation. Thanks to people like you, Skaggs Foundation was able to help thousands of our friends and neighbors live healthier lives.
Here are just some of the ways people like you helped make a difference:

  • 100 gas cards provided to CoxHealth Cancer Center, helping patients overcome one of the biggest barriers to care.
  • 8 free community lunch and learn events hosted with more than 400 people receiving valuable health information from local experts. An ambulance simulator for Ozarks Technical Community College, paving the way for OTC to offer EMS classes in Hollister; 325 individuals trained in first year.
  • 124 patients provided full scholarships for vital cardiac and pulmonary rehab services.
  • 2,147 meals delivered to individuals receiving care through lunchtime at CoxHealth Cancer Center Branson.
  • 54 Branson students provided one-on-one counseling sessions from area therapists. Funds also provided for a full-time case manager.
  • 59 scholarships awarded to students (50 scholarships directly from Skaggs Foundation and 9 scholarships made possible through Skaggs Legacy Endowment to senior nursing students at Cox College and College of the Ozarks.)
  • 566 expecting moms screened for substance use, depression and other crisis; 158 women provided the help needed to be the best for her baby.
  • A matching grant to Faith Community Health, supporting FaithCare, a project making healthcare affordable for the working poor.
  • 111 community members prepared to respond to an opioid overdose.
  • 350 books on health and wellness added to local library’s collection.9 school districts awarded funding to add water bottle filling stations. 4,070 reusable water bottles distributed to students and staff.
  • Fully-automated AEDs with 24-hour access provided to the McCord Bend community.
  • Nicotine-replacement therapy available to individuals in 22 tobacco cessation classes.
  • 1,500+ students given access to basic necessities including food, hygiene items and bedding.2,520 dental hygiene kits for children of low-income families.
  • 164 rides to medical appointments, including chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
  • 46 one-on-one counseling sessions for the working poor.
  • Mannequins and supplies for Hurley School District students and staff to become CPR certified.
  • Eliminated the need for 125 hours of patient travel time by bring perinatology providers to patients at Cox Medical Center Branson through tele-medicine services.
  • 13 CoxHealth employees facing unforeseeable emergencies provided financial aid.
