Skaggs Foundation awards 30 scholarships

Over $20,000 invested into local students pursuing healthcare degrees


In a continued commitment to fostering excellence in healthcare education, Skaggs Foundation
is pleased to announce the scholarship recipients for the summer and fall semesters. With a
collective investment of $22,500, these scholarships serve as a testament to the Foundation’s
dedication to promoting healthcare education.


The recipients, selected for their outstanding dedication and passion for the medical field,
represent a diverse range of career paths, including Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner,
Physical Therapy, Exercise Science and Social Work.


“On behalf of the Skaggs Foundation Board of Directors and Staff, we are thrilled to award 30
scholarships this year,” Meghan Connell, Skaggs Foundation president said. “In addition to
helping these deserving individuals with fulfilling their education goals, we see this as an
investment in our community’s healthcare future, we are blessed to have the resources to help.”
The recipients of the Skaggs Foundation scholarships for the upcoming semesters are as
follows:


Ian Avellanosa, Samantha Beatty, Heath Cole, Wynston Crain, Isabella Dopko, Britney Doucey,
Ellie Dunagan, Kylie Escobar, Corrine Espinoza, Lucy Feagans, Lauren Garrison, Katelyn
Good, Jared Gott, Kierra Greco, Rylie Hagston, Mylee Hampsch, Susanne Hill, Marlie
Holderfield, Raelee Hollier, Katelyn Jones, Kollin Kolb, HayLee McLain, Kayci Norris-Hill,
Madison Phifer, Maci Rogers, Elizabeth Sawyer, Samantha Sherwood, Grace Simkins, Baylee
Williams and Jenna Yaggy.


Since founded in 2002, Skaggs Foundation has awarded $537,450 in scholarships to students
pursuing or advancing careers in healthcare.
