Some projects meet an immediate need. Others go a step further — supporting long-
term change. That’s exactly what’s happening at the Jr. Eagles Childcare Center at
Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) Table Rock campus.
With funding from Skaggs Foundation, the college renovated a large classroom,
purchased age-appropriate equipment, and created a safe, supportive environment
where young children can learn and grow.
But the story doesn’t stop there.
The majority of parents utilizing the Jr. Eagles Childcare Center are students in nursing
and other health-related programs at OTC. They’re preparing for careers in fields that
are vital to our region — and reliable childcare is what makes it possible for them to stay
on track.
This isn’t just a convenience; it’s a support system. It gives parents peace of mind
knowing their children are in good hands while they attend class, study, and complete
clinical rotations. For many, it’s the reason they’re able to stay enrolled.
The staff shared how the center is impacting entire families — helping parents stay
focused and committed, while providing children with consistent care, learning
opportunities, and a positive environment.
At Skaggs Foundation, we’re proud to support work that removes barriers and
strengthens our local healthcare workforce — starting with this important investment in
childcare.
